SAVE PUM'KIN GUY!!!!

Why!? What happened!? 

Seems Pauline managed to pull a “last of their kind” entity from a dying world during one of her dream walking travels. Unfortunately, they're not the most friendly of beings and seek to use Pum'Kin Guy's magical essence to recharge their own! Oh NOOOOooooooo!

“Save Pum'Kin Guy” is a printable 3 stage board game with a bit of a lore dump.

It was all drawn on paper, with pen & pencil as I wanted to keep it as “organic” as possible. All the shading and pencil was filled in by hand with Micron pens & a 3H pencil. A custom font was created for the text as well!    

What you'll need!

1 : A printer! To print it! Duh!

I like to use best quality settings, gray scale, on 8.5 x 11 standard paper, but if you have a larger printer, feel free to make it bigger. Also don't worry if your printer gives you a “image cut off” or “bleed” warning while printing. It should print fine.

2 : One 6 sided dice. That's it.

3: Something to keep track of HP. Your character will start with 20. Paper, pencil, app on your phone. Some apps also have dice rolls and HP counters, but generally I'd like folks to use old school pen and paper to really get immersed in a simpler time of gaming.

Printable game pieces are included if you need them, just cut 'em out and place 'em on the board, or use your own.

Print and fold instructions booklet is also included, as is a PDF version of everything you need.

The instructions are pretty self explanatory, and should be fairly clear. Roll the dice, move your piece, and do what that little box you land on says to!

There are enemy encounters you'll have to deal with and if luck is on your side, you MAY be able to save Pum'Kin Guy!!!!!

Multiplayer! All the rules for single player apply, but whoever saves Pum'Kin Guy first, wins!

Included a .ZIP file containing 2 folders for “Endings.”

3 good, 3 bad, depending on if you win or lose.

Some people will just look into that folder immediately and spoil it, but I would recommend just opening one of the corresponding endings when you finish a game. It's up to you, but it's more fun to get something upon play-through rather than spoil it.

Why do this on paper? Well, at some point it would be fun to make this a simple digital board game for everyone, but my coding ability is limited right now and taking the time to get good would derail everything else I work on. Trying to learn in my downtime has been difficult, but I'm tryin'.

But, as of now, it is what it is. A game for those who like simple things.
